We exhibited at one of the world’s largest international maritime trade fairs, ‘SMM 2024,’ held in Hamburg, Germany, from September 3 to 6.

This year, approximately 2,000 companies involved in the maritime industry from around the world participated, and over 40,000 visitors from more than 100 countries and regions attended, making the exhibition lively and energetic.

We, BEMAC, exhibited in the Japan Pavilion. This time, we introduced our new product, the DPS, and co-exhibited with The Switch Engineering Oy (hereafter referred to as Switch).

In addition to our previous MaSSA in the DX field, we showcased Switch’s inverters in the GX field and our resource development DPS. This allowed us to attract interest from a broader range of attendees.

Additionally, building on our previous experience, we set up a hospitality counter in our booth to create a welcoming space for communication with visitors. Along with various drinks, we served traditional Japanese sweets and sake, allowing guests to enjoy Japanese delicacies while we introduced our products and held business discussions in a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

In particular, the local sake ‘Ishizuchi,’ which we personally brought from Imabari, was extremely popular among visitors, many of whom praised it enthusiastically with comments like ‘Clear!’.

We believe that along with the BEMAC brand, we were able to give visitors a taste of Imabari’s flavors.

On the second day of the exhibition, there was an interview with Switch, during which both Switch and BEMAC employees introduced their companies and products in front of the camera.

In the end, over 350 people visited the BEMAC booth, more than 1.5 times the number from the previous exhibition, making it a valuable opportunity for us to raise awareness of BEMAC among the European audience.
