- Training Program for Shipboard High-voltage Equipment Handling
- Marine Plant Business

As increasing globalization continues to affect merchant vessel companies while ships grow larger and adopt increasingly higher-voltage equipment, additional demands are being made of crew member competency in regard to high-voltage equipment handling, with new training required to increase crew knowledge and skills in accordance with the STCW Convention’s Manila Amendments.*
BEMAC’s training program for high-voltage equipment involves a two-day course, operated by dedicated training leaders, that is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to properly handle high-voltage power control consoles.
* Manila Amendments to the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW Convention). A set of 2010 amendments to this international convention, requiring certain training, certifications and adherence to duty standards for ship crews.
