BEMAC History

Our story began with a single storage battery on a fishing boat.

1946
Establishes Uzushio Denki Shokai for the purpose of selling and charging storage batteries for fishing boats.
1952
Begins marine distribution switchboard operations.
1953
Starts electrical outfitting work for ships as an electrical work contractor for the newly founded Kurushima Dock Yard Co.,
1956
Reorganizes as Uzushio Electric Co., Ltd. with capital of 1 million yen.
1960
Becomes an electrical outfitting work contractor for Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.
1961
Begins installation and sale of radio systems.
1963
Establishes Uwajima Branch.
1964
Establishes Namikata Factory.
1967
Approved for an electrical outfitting work contractor of ships by the National Maritime Bureau.
1970
Establishes Onishi Factory.
1971
Establishes Marugame Branch.
1973
Sets a facility for life rafts.
1975
Establishes Tokyo Office.
Exchanges a consignment contract for ship electrical services with De Hoop Groenpol-BV Co., Ltd. (Rotterdam, the Netherlands).
1976
Becomes a member of the International Ship Electrical and Engineering Service Association (ISES).
1977
Starts a service station for automatic evacuation signal transmission.Approved for an electrical outfitting work contractor for ships by the National Maritime Bureau.
1978
Begins land-based switchboard operation.
Establishes Hiroshima Sales Office.
Sets a service station for life rafts.
1980
Establishes Tokushima Branch. (closed in 1987)
Establishes Hashihama Factory.
1981
Establishes Akitsu Branch.
1984
Starts to sell power management systems (UGS-10).
1985
Approved for a licensed manufacturer by the Ministry of Transport (now The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism).
1986
Establishes Osaka Sales Office.
1987
Establishes Matsuyama Sales Office.
1989
Begins to selling of automatic generator control unit (UGS-11).
1991
Founded New Marugame Factory
1996
Approved as a Class NK manufacturer by the Nippon Kaiji Kyokai.
Begins to sell 32-bit processor on board monitor data logger systems (UMS-50) for multiplex networks.
1997
Receives ISO 9001 certification (Head Office / Onishi Factory).
1998
Entered into a technical and dealership contract for the PCT Remote Reefer Monitoring System with RTE Inc. of the U.S.
1999
Osaka Kiden Co., Ltd. becomes a member of the BEMAC Group.
Establishes Saijo Factory.
2000
Establishes Glip Co., Ltd.
2001
The company philosophy of "Beam Metrical Industry" is set.
2002
Receives ISO 14001 certification (Head Office / Onishi Factory).
Releases the corporate brand BEMAC.
2003
Releases the BEDATA series as BEMAC product line.
2004
Receives OHSAS 18001 certification (all business offices except Tokyo and Osaka offices).
Establishes an overseas subsidiary, BEMAC PANELS MANUFACTURING VIETNAM CO.,LTD. in Thang Long, Vietnam.
Establishes an overseas subsidiary, BEMAC CONTROL (DALIAN) INC. in Dalian, China.
2006
Enters into a business partnership with Schneider Electric in the field of medium voltage main switchboard for ships.
Celebrates the 60th anniversary of foundation.
Establishes Future Rays Co., Ltd.
2009
Establishes an overseas subsidiary, BEMAC Marine Engineering Service(s) PTE LTD in Singapore.

Establishes TRITON EV TECHNOLOGY CO. LTD.

Received an order from Department of Energy Philippines (DOE) for 3,000-units Electric Tricycles

Rreceived first order for a Dynamic Positioning System (DPS) to be installed on an offshore vessel in Indonesia
Completed of the acquisition of shares in The Switch Engineering Oy and subsidiaries, finalized
Held the ceremony 'The Future of BEMAC's Commitment to Zero Emissions'
Opened the Tokyo Integration Base
Orders for 'MaSSA-One' have reached a total of 300 vessels.
